Thank You

photo from todayiamblessed.com
Thank you Lord. For the sweet love, for the care, for your forgiveness, for your provision, for the safety,  for being patient with me, for picking me up when I did not know how to get myself up, for giving me grace even if I did not ask for it, and even if I've disappointed you a thousand times, you remain the same.

How great is your love. Praises to you forever and ever. My King, my savior, my Lord, my Helper, and my friend.

Memory Verse:
Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD.
Praise ye the LORD. Psalm 150:6

Vanity of Pleasure and Wealth

photo from www.thegospelcoalition.org
I sought in mine heart to give myself unto wine...
I built me houses; I planted me vineyards
I made me gardens and orchards...
I made me pools of water...
I got me servants and maidens...
...I had great possessions...
I gathered me also silver and gold...
So I was great...

And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour: and this was my portion of all my labour.
Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, ALL WAS VANITY...

-Words of King Solomon (Ecclesiastes Chapter2)

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Mark 8:36

And you say only God can judge you, but will you be ready when he does?

Every single day was designed to be lived in fullness.

Why are we so afraid of waiting, so fearful of taking time - of allowing days to be completed, and months to run into years. Why are we so hell bent on getting to what’s next, what’s coming, what’s ahead - instead of embracing what’s right in front of us? Why are we so caught up in chasing what we could have, instead of appreciating what is ours?

We long for relationships, for marriage, for the next best thing - for someone to look at us and say their I do’s and their forevers. We smash down doors that are locked for our own protection, self preservation and preparation, all for the mere desire to get ahead, to win the race, to score the prize. We put tomorrow on a pedestal and leave today in the dirt - forgetting that today was once our tomorrow and our tomorrow will soon be our today, meaning every day becomes lost.

When did we decide that this very moment was insufficient to be celebrated? When did we conclude that todays purpose was to yearn for tomorrow? When did we decide that royalty is no longer something we believe we are, but merely something we see on television? What happened to us? We used to dream in vivid colours - colours so bright that the world could not deny we lived for something greater. Yet here we are, chasing partnership like our lungs chase oxygen, forgetting all the while that time was designed for a purpose greater than to describe the distance between one point of life to another. It was designed to be lived in fullness. Designed not to be rushed nor dragged, but to be embraced and experienced. We need to live in the potential of today, rather than the possibility of tomorrow. Dream for bigger things by all means, little dreamer… But do not rush today, don’t lose face. Here, now - it holds beauty for you too. Give time the chance it deserves. Thanks to:#jacintanest #littlekinta

Memory Verse:
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

A Christian

Verse:
"For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again..." Proverbs 24:16

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness

Keep your eyes on Jesus

What are you looking at today? Not in the natural, but with your spiritual eyes. Are you facing challenges? Don’t just look at your problems day in and day out. Lift up your eyes and look toward heaven.

In the natural, you will move in the direction that your eyes are looking. The same is true in the spiritual realm. If you are always looking at your problems—meditating on them, feeling sorry for yourself, telling everybody about them — you will become consumed by them. But when you look up, your life will start to move up.

When you keep your eyes on Jesus, it is a sign of your faith and expectancy. Faith is what gets God's attention. When you have an attitude of faith and expectancy, you open the door for his power in your life. Today, lift up your eyes and your heart and rise up into victorious life He has prepared for you.

Memory Verse:
Hebrews 12:2King James Version (KJV)

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

When I say I am a Christian, I don't speak of this with pride. I am confessing that I stumble and I need Christ to be my guide.

When I say I am a Christian, I am not shouting that I am "Clean living".
I am whispering, "I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.

When I say I am a Christian, I do not speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say I am a Christian, I am not trying to be strong.
 I'm professing that I'm weak and need HIS strength to carry on.

When I say I am a Christian, I am not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and I need God to clean my mess.

When I say I am a Christian, I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon HIS name.

When I say I am a Christian, I am not holier than thou.
I am just a sinner who received God's good grace somehow.

You say only God can judge you, but will you be ready when he does?

...there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. (I Timothy 2:5-6)

...The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand:
repent ye, and believe the gospel. (Mark 1:15)

Repent ye therefore, and be converted,
that your sins may be blotted out... (Acts 3:19)

...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved... (Acts 16:31)

...as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on his name... (John 1:12)

We have heard the joyful sound:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Spread the tidings all around:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Bear the news to every land,
Climb the mountains, cross the waves;
Onward! ’tis our Lord’s command;
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

May my all be for the Lord.

God does not deserve 1 year. My whole lifetime isn't even enough. For he owns me; everything I have, and everything I can do.

2015 New Year Wish

You can laugh all day, tell jokes with friends, and have party all night, but true happiness comes when your heart is right; right with your friends, your family, your love, and most of all, right with God.

If there's a being that keeps me fall in love over and over again, that's my Lord Jesus. He  melts my heart with his kindness, and amazes me with his overflowing grace.

This year, there is nothing more I want than to get closer to my Lord and savior.

What about you?
